Q: What is the difference between this product and the general forward and reverse switching devices?

A: This product is isolated, and the general products are not isolated. Isolation means that the signal at the control end is isolated from the motor and has no electrical connection.

There is no contact inside the product, no spark and no noise. It is suitable for frequent forward and reverse starting operation of DC motor, for example, switching between positive and negative twice in 1 second.

The input control signal of this product has an interlock function, and when the signal is input, the motor will stop rotating.

Q: What are the advantages of using isolation?

A: When the DC motor rotates, it will generate interference signals on the power supply (RF signal, sudden voltage, and can be observed with an oscilloscope). If the control signal is not completely isolated, the interference signal is fed back to the control terminal, which may cause the signal source of the control terminal to be generated. Malfunctions (such as running dead, etc.).

Q: What is the voltage drop on the module?

Q: What is the working principle of this product?

A: This product is an actuator that switches the motor forward and reverse according to the signal you give it. It executes commands for control signals (signals of 12V-24V). All you have to do is control it with your signal. Add the signal to A+A- when you need the motor to rotate forward. You need to add the signal to B+B- when the motor is reversed. How to apply this signal is determined by the customer, can be manually switched, can be controlled by sensors, PLC can also be controlled, and so on.

Q: Which model should I use?

A: This product has two parameters, withstand voltage and withstand current. The withstand voltage is 2-3 times of the actual voltage of the motor; the withstand current is preferably 5 times of the actual current of the motor.

Q: My DC motor will be blocked or shorted. Can I use this product?

A: Be careful to choose and use. This product is not recommended due to the very short circuit current of the motor. For the stall condition, the user should measure the stall current, and then select the appropriate model according to the stall current. (At this time, the rated current of the motor does not have a reference meaning, and should be selected according to the stall current).

I. Overview

1. The module is suitable for frequent forward and reverse starting of DC motors, or the positive and negative polarity of DC inductors are frequently switched. It overcomes the shortcomings of mechanical contacts that are easy to jump and burn, has long life, low price, and is easy to install and use.

2. The input/output terminal of the main circuit and the positive and negative control terminals are isolated by photoelectric isolation or high-frequency transformer, and the withstand voltage of the insulating medium is greater than 2000 Vac.

3. Conversion between A and B in the module Hardware and software interlocks have been set at the control end to effectively prevent the positive and negative switches from being turned on at the same time.

4. The MOSFET power tube is used as the output device inside the module, and the conduction voltage drop is small and the reliability is high.

5. The LED tube shows the direction of rotation of the motor. When both LEDs are off, it is stopped.

6. The input control voltage is 12-24Vdc, and the common anode or common cathode can be wired freely. When the control line is connected in common, the A- and B- terminals are active low. When the A- and B- terminals are at the same time, the module is automatically turned off. When the common cathode is connected, the A+ and B+ terminals are active high. When the A+ and B+ terminals are at the same time, the module is automatically turned off. Other control voltages can also be customized.
