    When ADF4350/ADF4351 is combined with external loop filter and external reference frequency, the fractional N frequency divider or integer N phase locked loop (PLL) frequency synthesizer can be realized.

    The ADF4350/ADF4351 has an integrated voltage controlled oscillator (VCO) whose fundamental frequency range is 2200 MHz to 4400 MHz. In addition, using the 1/2/4/8/16 frequency divider circuit, the user can generate RF output frequency as low as 35Mhz/137.5 MHz. For applications requiring isolation, the RF output stage can be mute. The mute function can be controlled either by pin or by software. At the same time, it provides auxiliary RF output and can be turned off without using it.
