The 485 magnetically isolated repeater uses the design of the ADum2483 chip from Analog Devices, Inc., and the ADum2483 differential bus transceiver is an integrated galvanic isolation device for bidirectional data communication on multipoint bus transmission lines. It is designed for balanced transmission lines and complies with the ANSI TIA/EIARS-485-A and ISO8482:1987(E) standards. The device uses ADI's iCoupler technology to integrate a 3-channel isolator, a 3-state differential line driver, and a differential input receiver into a single package. It is a highly integrated, high-stability magnetically isolated 485 communication chip.
