    1. SDT1-028K Description:


    SDT1-028K Piezoelectric Thin Film Sensor: "S" in SDT means "shield". The SDT1 piezoelectric film sensor consists of a rectangular piezoelectric film element connected to a plastic shell and an 18-inch long coaxial cable. The film element is screen-printed with two layers of silver paste on the top and bottom, and then folded in half to form a self-shielding working area. This product can be used in high EMI environments.

    The SDT1 can be attached to other surfaces with double-sided tape, epoxy and cyanoacrylate adhesives, it must be noted that the double-sided tape may tear the metallization off the film when the sensor is removed.

    When glued to a surface in some way, the SDT1 acts as an excellent contact microphone and dynamic stress gauge, the output signal of which can be picked up directly by an oscilloscope (preferably 10MΩ) or a signal analyzer.
