Raphaelite 618B MC step-up transformer is upgraded from the structure of West Electric (WE) 618B transformer. It uses the same alloy core volume and the same winding turns ratio, although the useless 600 ohm input winding is removed. However, more primary and secondary couplings are added, so that the leakage inductance is lower and the details are more. More importantly, the coil is made of 5N single crystal sterling silver, and even the RCA socket is made of sterling silver. We did not imitate the shell of WE 618B, but used solid iron CNC to drive it out directly, and at the same time, it contains Permalloy material to achieve the best shielding effect. The dual windings of the transformer input can change the gain through the external switch to select series/parallel to achieve 23dB and 29dB switching options to adapt to different cartridges and system gain levels to achieve the best match. Users can switch according to the type of music.
